Unknown gunmen killed engineer Michael Ebirien-Agana in the community of Agana, in the local government area of ​​Andoni, Rivers State.

It was gathered that Ebirien-Agana, who is said to be a staff member of the local government council, was ambushed along the Igbo-Etche road by armed men as he returned home between 8:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Friday, November 20.

There are reports that the gunmen dragged him out of his car, shot him dead and left. He was rushed to hospital by Good Samaritans where he was confirmed dead by a doctor.

State Police Command spokesman Nnamdi Omoni, who confirmed the incident on Monday, November 23, said efforts were underway to arrest his killers.
